Axel Honneth is one of the most prominent living representatives of the Frankfurt School. He currently serves as the Jack C. Weinstein Humanities Professor in the Philosophy Department at Columbia University. Before this, he held the position of President at the Social Research Institute in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. Honneth's areas of expertise include social philosophy and political philosophy. His most recently published book in German is "Die Armut unserer Freiheit. Aufsätze 2012 - 2019," released by Suhrkamp Verlag in Berlin, 2020.
