Héctor Abad Faciolince, born in 1958 in Medellin, is a Colombian writer, editor, and translator. He is among the most widely read authors in Spanish-speaking countries, especially in Latin America. Some of his well-known novels include "Asuntos de Un Hidalgo Disoluto" (1994), "Basura" (2000), and "Angosta" (2004). His novel "El Olvido que Seramos" (2006), which has been adapted into a film, earned him numerous awards in the USA and Portugal and is also part of our publishing program. His books have been translated into many languages, including Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, French, and German. "Angosta" is the first work by Héctor Abad Faciolince to be translated into Turkish.
