Clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst Marie-Claude Akiba-Egry lives and works in Paris. Born in Algeria to a Jewish family, Akiba-Egry's father disappeared a few days before Algeria's independence in 1962. Having worked with children and adolescents in child protection for forty years, Akiba-Egry has also taught psychoanalysis courses at Paris 7 University. "L'enfant qui se taisait" is her first literary work. Previously, she has written numerous articles and works on social and human sciences.
